- Speech is scored as it is spoken. No recording of anyone’s voice is stored.
- A child never creates an account. A grown-up creates each reader profile, and it holds a first name and a birth year.
- The app loads no advertising library and no third-party analytics library, so there is no tracking of anyone across sites.
- When something breaks, the app reports the fact of the failure and an identifier — never passage text, transcripts, audio, or anything a reader typed or said.
